Question: What is the LWWGP Online Program?
The Living (Well!) with Gastroparesis (LWWGP) Online Program is a series of 12 audio classes, plus handouts, worksheets, and additional materials, designed to help you gain control over your symptoms, improve your quality of life, and live WELL despite a gastroparesis diagnosis. There is truly nothing else like this for GPers!
Question: What does the LWWGP Online Program include?
As a participant in the LWWGP Program, you’ll receive immediate access to 12 course modules, each containing:
- a 40-70 minute mp3 audio class covering a specific aspect of gastroparesis management
- printable PDF slides
- worksheets and handouts
- additional related material
You’ll also receive free access to four supplemental classes to enhance your understanding of specific topics and two full-length eBooks.
Question: Are the classes available individually?
No, the classes are not currently available individually. There are, however, specialized “tracks” for those who do not wish to enroll in the whole program. These tracks contain fewer classes and are less expensive than the full program. Click on the links to learn more.
Question: How long is the program?
All 12 modules are released as soon as you sign up and you’re able to work through them at your own pace. However, I recommend spending an average of one to two weeks per module so that you can fully implement the action steps. When this program was offered live, it lasted for 12 weeks.
Question: Is there a live/group component to this program?
In order to allow members to enroll at any time, the program itself is entirely self-guided and self-paced. It does not include email or telephone coaching, nor does it include a group forum. There is, however, an on-going support and coaching group based on the LWWGP approach. If you’re looking for additional support, please click here for more information.
Question: What is the time commitment?
Each module has one audio class, most between 35 and 60 minutes in length. Many modules also contain worksheets and handouts, which will likely take another 20-30 minutes to complete. In general, most people can expect to spend one to one-and-a-half hours per class.
Some modules have supplemental material in the form of audio or video classes. These will typically offer more in-depth information about topics presented in the module. While it’s recommended that you watch them at some point, it’s not necessary to listen/watch them immediately, particularly if you are feeling generally overwhelmed and/or the topic is not of immediate concern/difficulty for you.
Question: Is this the same information that’s contained in the Living (Well!) with Gastroparesis book?
No. While the topics are similar, the depth of information provided is much greater. This course is not simply a retelling of the book. It’s more like an extended, updated conversation about and guided journey through implementing the basic suggestions that are offered in the book. If you read Living (Well!) with Gastroparesis and wanted more… this program is definitely for you!
Question: What will I get out of the program?
Knowledge that will empower you to better manage your symptoms and improve your quality of life. Guidance and encouragement to help you create and implement your own comprehensive management plan. Answers to your questions (and to lots of questions you don’t even know you have yet!).
Question: How long will I have access to the classes and other materials?
As a program participant, you’ll have access to the course website for one year from the purchase date. However, all classes and materials are available for download. Once you download them, they are yours to keep forever.
Question: I’ve had GP for a few years. Is this program for me?
Yes. The course is designed for new and “experienced” GPers alike. This is information that I’ve gathered from years of talking with specialists and researchers, working with hundreds of other GPers, studying nutrition and health, and learning to live WELL with GP myself. (Honestly, after ten years with gastroparesis, I still learn new things!). In the words of a past participant: “I was a little apprehensive since I wasn’t a newbie, but I have gotten so much out of [it]!”
Question: What kind of technology do I need to participate?
All you need to participate is an internet connection, an email address, and a web browser. Audio classes can be streamed on our program website or downloaded and listened to on your computer/table/mobile device. In those cases, you will need an mp3 player such as iTunes, which you can download for free at www.itunes.com.
Question: I don’t live in the United States. Can I still participate?
Yes! This is a web-based program and the materials are available 24/7 anywhere in the world. All you need is an internet connection.
Question: What do previous participants have to say about the LWWGP Program?
Please see the Reviews page.
Question: When is the deadline to enroll?
Enrollment is on-going as this is a self-guided, self-paced program.
Question: What payment methods do you accept?
All payments are processed through PayPal. You can use an existing PayPal account or any major credit card (without creating an account).
If you have addition questions, please email firstname.lastname@example.org and my assistant or I will be happy to help you out.
