Recently I was talking with a family member I haven’t seen in a while and it hit me just how much things have changed in the past couple of years…
I’ve already shared that I had my first ever normal gastric emptying scan in April. More importantly, though, my symptoms have nearly resolved. To the point that my neurostimulator was turned off the first week of November.
I say “nearly resolved” because it’s not like I have no digestive symptoms… but if I had the symptoms I have now, I don’t know that I’d even go to the doctor for them. I’ve long been diagnosed with “IBS” and I think it can mostly be attributed to that, as well as FODMAP issues. (Onions and garlic still get me!)
But here’s the thing… I’ve had so many wonderfully “normal” food experiences in the past several months. Without my stimulator on, without any medication… without any ill effects. Big news, right? So I hopped on Facebook to share more about it, as well as answer a bunch of your questions. Check it out below.
