FAQ: The “Living Well with Gastroparesis” Program Edition

Posted in: FAQ, Living Well ♦ Saturday, December 31st, 2011, 2:00 am ♦ 5 Comments

The response to the two Living Well Gastroparesis Group Programs was so positive (it was called “life changing” by several participants!) that I decided to tweak the format in order to make it more flexible, more affordable, and available all year long! I’ve put together this Living Well with Gastroparesis Self Guided Program FAQ to help you decide whether it’s right for you.

Anyone out there contemplating the classes….. sign up! I have battled GP for years now and thought I knew it pretty well, but I have learned so much from these classes! It has been worth every penny. I have learned many “tricks” that have helped me greatly. ~Kandra

Question: What exactly is this program?
Answer: The Living (Well!) with Gastroparesis Self-Guided Program is everything I’ve learned over the past seven years — from studying health and nutrition, working with hundreds of other GPers, and personal experience – all rolled into one comprehensive program. It’s presented in a flexible format, allowing you to progress at your own pace and ask questions along the way. There is truly nothing else like this for GPers!

Question: What does the program include?
Answer: When you purchase the program, you’ll receive twelve audio classes (each between 30 and 60 minutes), plus a variety of worksheets and handouts to help you build your own comprehensive gastroparesis management plan. You’ll also have access to an exclusive Q&A page where you can ask me questions as you progress through the program and read my responses to other participants’ questions, as well.

Question: What will I get out of the program?
Answer:
Knowledge that will empower you to better manage your symptoms and improve your quality of life. Peace of mind from better understanding the condition and having your questions answered. Encouragement that you can learn to live well with gastroparesis. Support and answers to your questions.

Question: What do previous participants have to say about the program?
Answer: I’ll let them answer that!  In their own words…

I’ve seen a number of doctors and two nutritionists in the last 6 weeks, and other than writing scripts, the info and advice I’ve received from [this program] has been of far greater benefit.

Well worth the investment !

I really am learning a lot about GP [and] I’m definitely glad I joined!

I am LOVING the program!

I am greatly benefiting from the class. [It] has given me hope.

The program is extremely helpful because there really is no where in the country that we could get all the knowledge and the information that you are teaching us about living with gastroparesis.

I love the classes! I have gotten so much out of them!

Question: I’ve had GP for a few years. Is this program for me?
Answer: Yes! The program is designed for newbies and experienced GPers alike. Again, in the words of a current participant: “I was a little apprehensive since I wasn’t a newbie, but I have gotten so much out of [it]!!!”

Question: My schedule is busy/unpredictable and/or I don’t live in the United States. Can I still participate?
Answer: Yes! I specifically designed the LWWGP Self Guided Program to make it flexible, both in terms of timing and commitment. You’ll receive all of the classes when you register, so you can start at any time and go at your own pace. Listen to the classes wherever you are and whenever you have time! The special Q&A page is available 24/7, whenever you have a question.

Question: I really want to join, but I don’t have all of the money right now. Can I do a payment plan?
Answer: Yep! This is an investment in your health and quality of life, so I want to make it as easy for you to participate as possible. I’ve reduced the price to make it more affordable and I’ve also set up monthly payment options. The payments are made automatically, so there’s nothing to keep track of after you register.

Hi!! Just wanted to say I am so happy i found this blog! I was diagnosed almost 3 years ago when I was 21. I have been dealing with it pretty reasonably, thankfully most days i feel alright but then those bad days come once in a while when i definatley need a bit more support and positivity and i think this blog will be just the place! I am just about to buy the digital version of Eating for GP and I am in the process of finding an accupuncturist and see if accupuncture helps (all thanks to your video blog, though i have been thinking about it for a while). I am in Melbourne (Australia) and wondering if you are aware of any of your FB followers being from over here. Thank you and looking forward you your future blogs! :)

Hi. So happy to have found this website. My husband has GP and is miserable. He is also a doctor but cannot seperate his pain from common sense medical knowledge. Looking forward to reading your book.

My insurance company will pay only if supplier bills using a “Billing Code”.
Do you bill insurance with correct code?

    Thanks much,
    Steve

Hi, Steve. Unfortunately I’m not able to bill the insurance company directly, but others have found that they can get reimbursed for the program through flexible spending with a letter of medical necessity from their doctor. Hope that helps!
