Review: QueasEASE

After my second gastric stimulator surgery, I was struggling with nausea from the anesthesia and narcotics but it wasn’t time for more anti-nausea medication yet. Instead, the nurse gave me a QueaseEASE aromatic inhaler.

QueaseEASE is an all-natural blend of lavender, peppermint, ginger, and spearmint oils, which together help to alleviate nausea.  It's non-drowsy and drug-free.

To use it, you just remove the cap, hold the tube under your nose, and take some deep breaths.  I found the scent to be pleasant and calming and it definitely improved my nausea.  I did have to use it frequently to maintain the effect, but overall it's the most effective drug-free nausea remedy I've tried.

While it's marketed for morning sickness, motion sickness, or nausea due to surgery or chemotherapy, it seems that it would help gastroparesis symptoms, as well.  In fact, I've already ordered two more so that I can keep one at home, one in my purse and one in my coat pocket for when the nausea hits.
